The last and now lost binding consisted of a blue paper cover, perhaps 18th or early 19th century, see photo of the title-page. Now without binding the copy is preserved in a cloth box. Stitching of most quires intact. The first leaf is almost loose, as is the last leaf, which also has a paper defect.
Provenance: Contemporary annotations in a German cursive throughout, marginal and interlinear. One of five editions printed in Leipzig between 1508 and 1515. „Vorlesungsdruck“ with widely spaced lines for interlinear annotations.
The last leaf with a later ownership entry of 1577 by a Johannes St. Dribnitz, and the motto Nil sine magno vita labore dedit mortalibus (Horace).
