Vettori’s dedication to Alessandro Farnese is dated 13th April 1552. In a Quaestio Vettori discusses the authorship of Περὶ Ἑρμηνείας. Dedication and Quaestio are not extant in his 1542 edition.
Natalis Comes (1520-1580) has dedicated his translation to Francesco Contarini (1477-1558), the patrician, official and diplomat of the Republic of Venice.
