Folio (224 x 205 mm). a–z8 A8 B12 C–G8 H6: (248) of 250 leaves, blank B12 present, but blank a1 and H6 not. Printed in two columns. Roman type, blank space for initials with guide letters.

Wormhole in a2-d4, repaired wormtrack in the upper blank margin of E4-F7.  A very few leaves with slight marginal foxing. Near contemporary limp vellum.

Some annotations in a contemporary Italian hand, a few cropped. Crisp paper.  

Front paste-down with bibliographical notes on the famous sale (1769) of Louis Jean Gaignat’s library, lot number 2759, sold at 199 Louisdor, and the catalogue of this sale by Guillaume-François de Bure. On the fly-leaf an early reader wrote: Benedictus qui venit in nomine domine – perhaps referring to Ubertino de Casale.
