Bessarion Makres (1635-1699) was born in Ioaninna, northwestern Greece, centre of the Greek enlightenment of the 17th and 18th century. The Σταχολογια was first published in 1686 by Glykys is Venice. It’s a grammar in form of question and answer. It was very successful and was published in many editions. Ps.-Ammonius‘ work with separate title-page and page-numbering.
